New model 210 vs GS20 Surf Wave

Just looking for insight on which boat has a better surf wave..... A new model 210 or a GS20? I am curious about stock ballast without a bunch of after market modifications.

210 for sure because it was designed primarily for wakeboarding and surfing. The GS 20 is more of a crossover boat designed to perform various water sport activities

We water tested the gs20 and currently own a 15’ 210. If you do more tha wakeboard and surf i suggest the gs20 .i felt it was more of an all around performer. The 210 is a great platform but the ski wake can be a little more than a novice can handle. Just my two cents

I love sub floor ballast. I wonder if that will ever be offered in the 210. Is it even possible?

I’ve had multiple 210’s and water tested the gs20 a few times and I would say hands down that the gs20 is a better surfing boat. I primarily surf but still like to slalom and the 210 has a better slalom wake which is why I’m still in a 210.

The 210 has a better surf wake and way better wakeboard wake. It seems that you would add weight to a gs 20,so you would lose your sub floor ballast. I really did like skiing my 210 as well. It is a good boat.

Reading this thread with interest. I own an 08 210, have around 2200lbs ballast and a DIY wake shaper. I’ve just spent a week or so riding a GS20 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, the 210 is a mile ahead in terms of surfing wave. We didn’t get the opportunity to add additional ballast to the GS20 so added 4 big blokes, certainly improved things but I’ve got to be honest, I was unimpressed. The GS20 is a lovely looking boat, it’s a nicer place to be in compared to the 210 in terms of storage, but that really is it. Setup is NSS-0, NCRS 3-5, and sitting people towards the surf side. Am I missing a trick, is there anything we can do to improve the wave?
