Help...Which tower do I buy? Anybody have one for sale???

Okay, so I just sold my 91 SN and now I have a 94 SN. Definitely excited about the new boat. It was a nice little upgrade. However, I do not want to keep riding on my pylon, I want a tower. Not only does it look great, but its a little more stable ofcourse. I do not want to go past $1500 and I am not afraid to install it myself. I have heard tons of good things about NDT and ofcourse FCT's....what are some other options though? Are Fly High Pro-X towers okay? or are they cheap? Any insight on what to buy and what not to buy, would be great. Thanks!

Also, I want to get it asap. I dont want anything that takes 6-8 weeks to get to me. However, if I cant get anything of good quality relatively quick, Ill probably wait till next year.

Anybody happen to be selling one?

Try www.monstertower.com $1195 shipped. My guess is they have towers in stock, so you would get it fairly quick.

I second the NDT even though its past your budget but it is a very good tower and worth the money.

He won't be let down. Plus, I think they are the best looking.

titan series one should fit your budget. They are very easy to install and rock solid. I have put 3 of them on boats and can do it from start to finish in less that 2 hours.

I have a Titan tower, and might be willing to sell, not sure if it will fit your boat though.

Talk to Kathy or Wayne at NDT, get the boat show price - you will be very close to your $1500. The NDT looks great on a 94. Also you value / resale will be higher

This should be a no-brainer...NDT all the way.

Dont forget your towerbimini as well.

I agree with the titan tower. I can't speak for many other towers other than the Monster towers. I know of a couple people who have installed them on their boat. It is my understanding that Monster does a good job with their towers and will stand behind their equipment....though one person had problems with their tower rattling a lot.

In regards to price, don't cut corners to save $4. "Looks" are important but performance is the priority. If a manufacturer recommends installing large wood plates under the deck so that you don't crack the gel-coat...or you hear of stories of people having to do that, walk the other way. When trying to determine what tower to put on my boat, I ran into several boat owners who had trouble with cracks, etc.....and were using high-end towers. Before you buy a tower, ensure you are buying something that is engineered to reduce stress on the boat deck.

After 3 years, my Titan starting rattling a little this year. Titan sent me some new heim joints at no cost.....and the rattle is gone.

Go for the Monster Tower. We just put one on our 93 Sport Nautique. We had to reinforce our fiberglass since it wasn't quit a thick as it needed to be. According to CC it should have been thick enough...

You wouldn't have that problem if you weren't driving such a new boat. Titan's standard bolts were 3/8" too short for my old fiberglass.
