    SAN 230 Ballast upgrade

Has anybody with the xl ballast option upgraded their rear bags with the wakemakers 650's and plummed in the 400's under the seats? Is that possible?

just thinking about what I'll do with the 400's that I will be taking out of the rear lockers.....

I guess it’s possible. I just chucked mine in the trash last week. If you filled under your cabin seats with ballast, you’’ll have virtually no storage. You may want to hang on to one of those leftover sacks just so you can temporarily use it to see what additional ballast in the front will be like. I’’m betting it’’ll make you want to add an additional under-seat sack in front once you modify the rears.

I talked to WakeMAKERS, and they told me that they do not have a custom piggyback IBS for the 230..... But I have seen on this forum that some people have put a custom bag in?

I gave them the measurements and they custom built one for me. It fits perfectly. I’ll try to dig for the schematic of it tonight.

Found em. PM your email to me and I'll forward the drawings that Wakemakers sent to me before they made my sacks.

I have a question about the fill/drain pump timers. When ballast is upgraded, is it possible to reset the timers to compensate for the additional time needed to fill/drain? I really hope I can still know how much ballast is in each location?

All you can do is have the dealer set the timers to "pro ballast." That'll add some time to it. As for filling/draining levels, you run the pumps till they pee out the side and drain them until you hear the distinct sound of a dry pump. Easy. If you need to fine tune, you move people or lead around as needed. BTW, my custom front/rear sacks fill all the way to the top in one cycle.

Is it normal for the area beneath the ballast bags to be a little wet after a surf session? I'm getting some water collecting on top of the hard tanks, under the bags? Is this normal or do I have a little leak somewhere?
