    2016 super air nautique 210 (need advice/input)

    Hello-

I am new to this board. I am in the market for a wakesurf boat. There is a 2016 210 locally for sale for 60K. It is loaded with everything. However it has 450 hours on it. Warranty is out in 50 hours. Boat seems to be in great condition and all and any services have been done to it by the nautique dealer. Now I am new or not so familiar with nautique I have owned a moomba for years. I am also looking at a 2013 mastercraft x10 with 100 hours. Also in great shape.

so am I crazy to buy a boat with 450 hours?
is the 210 a great boat for surfing?

any feedback will be appreciated. I am looking to pull the trigger real soon.

Had a 2013 210 and is an amazing boat, I would go with the 210 over a x10. These engines run for 2000 hrs easy

I sold my 2012 210 last September for $57k. I think it had 150 hours. 60k seems like a steal even with 450 hrs. 210 is a great all around boat.

So sorry. Made a typo. Boat price is not 60k. It is 68k.

the boat has the large 450 pcm.

also, how is the rough water ride in the 210?

I agree that $60k sounds like a good deal even with 450 hours especially if everything checks out well and the interior is in good shape. The powertrain on the boats can go a few thousand hours with just regular maintenance. However, many people neglect the interior in boats. If the interior and exterior are in good condition it has probably been well taken care of.

I would rather have a boat with a lot of hours that's been well maintained than a neglected boat with only a few hours.

Jeez, I've seen boats come into WLM from ski schools with more than 8000 hours on them.

That is a **** of a deal on a 2016 210. We got $69k on trade for our 2013 210 with 400 hours on it. I would not worry about the hours one bit. We have 50 already on our 2018 210 and have only have it for about 6 weeks. The good new about the hours is that it has been properly used and most of the kinks will have been worked out so warranty should not be a huge deal at all.

Yes... the 210 is a great surf boat! Pro ballast is good but swap the pro ballast bags out for 750's and you'll make some real nice waves!

Like others above have mentioned, if the exterior and interior are nice, then the rest of the boat has been taken care of and hours aren't that big of a deal. We sell our 210's at the end of summer with 100-120 hours on them for not much more. The boats hold their value well especially if they are taken care of.

Seems like a good deal like other have said . I’ve had 6 210 boats and the are a great boat .

When it comes to heavy chop you will need to slow it down and lift the bow.

The 210 is a great boat and the 450 engine is an awesome upgrade! Like others have said, if both interior/exterior are in great condition then it seems like a good price tho you can always try to do better and get if for 60k, but 450hrs is nothing for a well taken care of boat. Another way to look at the hours...depending on how long you plan to keep it and how many hours you put on each year, if you use it less than 100 per year then after 3-4 years, it will have "average" hours on it. To me a 2yr old boat with 450hrs was likely owned by someone who loved to use it and probably took great care of it due to that....sounds like its a private party sale and not thru a dealer? (check into the costs to transfer the warranty into your name on used boat as that may factor into your decision on whether you want to spend that money or not, part of that will depend on if you think you will burn thru the 50hrs this year, or less than 50hrs this year so you will still have warranty left into next summer).
You can request the history on the boat with the HIN# to find out what warranty work was done if any.....get the maintenance log from the dealer which tells you how often oil was changed, etc (if engine oil changed every 50hrs or so, you will KNOW it was loved and taken care of mechanically). You will want that info regardless so when you sell down the road you can provide the entire history of the boat to the next owner which is ALWAYS a plus to a buyer.
