Does anyone hvae water ski racks that are built in to the side of thier SN? I was looking at the brochure for my 93 SN and I noticed one of the options available was a ski rack that was mounted along the sides for several skis. This would be a great feature since I do not want to put a tower on. Any thoughts on what they were talking about and how I can go about getting one?

RE: Water Ski Racks
I had one in my '99 SN. They folded out of the way when not in use. However, I stopped using them because when the handle would shoot out of someone's hands, the rope would occasionally recoil in that spot and toss the ski out of the boat. Now these were the ones mounted IN the boat on the side behind the driver. NOT the ones that you see mounted on top of the side rail.Promo Team member

RE: Water Ski Racks
my ski's, w/ double high wraps never seemed to fit right, or would only fit 1 ski upside down. If you have the net bag...it will be in the way of that too. seemed more of a hassle than they were a benefit for our routine. Maybe useful for keeping "kids" skis or a set of doubles out of the way.

I have the same racks as Quinner on my 2005 Ski 196. My dealer installed them before I took delivery of the boat. They will hold two skis with double high-wrap bindings without any problem. However, you sometimes have to move the upper ski a bit to get the lower one out of the rack. Overall, I like that racks as they keep the skiis from moving around on the floor during acceleration and turns.
