You must have it at maxmium all the time to get any kind of steepness out of it that would make you say a G wave is flat haha. They are far from flat.
    This......

I mean, it’s well known that a Malibu wave is softer, mild shaped, and contains almost no lip. The Ri, and G waves are the polar opposite of that. Some folks prefer the mellow type wave, and some don’t. If SM has found the secret to make a Malibu kick out a steep and thick wave, just about every other Malibu owner is going to want to know how.

its no different than trying to get a nice mellow skim wave out of a G. It just doesn’t happen.

I’ve done it - kinda... You just need to run 0/0 and go a bit faster. There’s still a bit of a lip but not nearly as much.

I found the M235 too steep, tall and short. I like steep but it was too much for me.

Tallredrider, I like your wave, looks clean.

Nohlan, I run about 3/4 wedge, 3400 lbs extra ballast, driver and dog. Yes it is a pain to set up, yes my boat is full of ballast bags. Yes it is what I've gotten used to. 6th year in that boat.

Surfnjosh, which Soulcraft did you get? I've been riding the Voodoo for a year and love it. Thinking about getting another model.

        Here's my Centurion demo

Yup that centurion wave from that video wasn’t setup 100% of what it could be that’s for sure.

          Yup it’s possible at 12mph with 0/0.

I just spoke to the Centurion salesman. He assured me the PnP was loaded, ballast specs below. I don't know what to say. I hope to try the new X24 next month.

Well good luck to ya. If the ri257 wave can't satisfy you I suggest you wait till 2020 and the next game changer.....
still guarantee something wasn't setup right with that Ri. Maybe he had the cats fin way outta wack....in the meantime try and catch a wave behind a G23

Ha ha, by 2020 I may be too old for this sport. Barely hanging on now. But the old beater Malibu ran well this morning.

Summer rolls on, I'm still rocking the old Malibu. Finally got some port side videos. Not as clean as starboard, but pretty good. If you have any G23 wave videos, I'd love to see them.

If you have any plans to come down to the L.A. area soon, you are welcome to come out with us. We ride at Castaic until the end of October. Conversely, we start back up in April.
