    Most everyone I know shut the boat off.

      Even if you have to replace the starter...to not shut down would increase the hrs on my boat at least 1-2hrs per outing, maybe more depending on what we are doing.
      This would add 25-50hrs to my boat per year. Guarantee cost of starter is cheaper than the added hours on boat when resale time comes

        Boat off between every rider. Really no excuse to idle more than 15 or 20 seconds ever, except when first warming up for he day.
