Narrowed down our search and need help

Thank you to all that have answered my other questions. Just listed our 23LSV and we've narrowed down our search to a '16 - '18 210 or a '14 - '16 g21. Obviously, there is a big difference between the two but let me explain. We will be buying our 4th wake boat in 7 years and the wife wants this one to be the last for awhile. That is one of the reasons we are coming to Nautique. I know everyone has their preferences but to us the Nautique fit and finish is tops and will hold its value better over the next 5 - 10 years.

We have 2 main areas we use our boat. Our cabin, where the 210 would be a good fit because we can leave stuff on the dock and tend to only go out in the mornings and evenings. 210 would fit better when we go to the marina for dinner or groceries. Our home, where it would be nice to have the space of the g21 for anchoring at the lake for the day. We do all watersports and I'm not super concerned about best wave and wake. I will say that not having any bags in lockers is a HUGE + for us. I don't honestly know if we could even use all the space in a g21 but would try. Ultimately price will be the major factor and it seems there are a lot more g21s available than there are 210s. Sadly our dealer has neither, used or new and we are struggling trying to find boats to demo.

Anyone with experience on both boats or made the choice to change either way? I would love to hear why and personal preferences. Thank you again.

Tested both, wakeboard mostly, and went with the G21 as it is a way bigger boat (higher on the water and more storage, no water bag, just a few lead bags to counter prop). Was close to take on water with the G21 many times when stopped on a lake and rolling to due huge waves coming from the sides (ballast emptied). Maybe it would have been ok with a 210, but with such a low freeboard I wonder.

It looks like you are likely in the Boise area but there are a few here in the SLC area if you wanted to make the drive. In addition, Croft Marine are a great Nautique dealer in the South part of the valley.

the g21 will definitely be more comfortable with more freeboard.

Yes we are in Boise. I love our dealer and would love for them to have the boat we want but they don’t see them very often. Mostly Bu, Axis and G23s

Any reason not to go for a G23? I bought my G21 because I got it for a ridiculously good price, but there are some things about the G23 that are very nice to have. If this is the boat you’re going to call a keeper I would consider it.

We have but our garage won't allow it. I have stored my boat elsewhere for the last 3 summers and I hate it!

I really like that g21 and seems like a decent price. My dealer is having a nautique demo this weekend and I'm hoping they at least have a 230 and g23 to compare, since they won't have a 210 or a g21.

Just need my LSV to hurry up and sell

Another question has come up. I can find the length of the g21 w/ platform but I can’t find length on trailer for garage. I have 25’ and I think it’s going to be close.

I don't know what it is on the trailer either (they probably do not advertise that since different dealers order different brand trailers and they are all a little different)...you should be ok, but it will be a squeeze, depends on type of trailer you get with boat and design of the swing away....and swim platform. I have a 24ft boat and with swim platform and tongue folded, its right at 28ft, but removing swim platform would take me down to a little over 26 cause I have transom straps in rear. so my guess is with swim platform removed, you should be under 23.5ft long (I have Boatmate Trailer and swing away is only around 6" longer than bow of boat) I actually am just finishing a custom detached garage for my boat and designed it to be 32ft long X 16ft wide (12x12 garage door). I planned to leave it unfinished but one thing led to another and now its totally finished, insulated with heat/AC. Also designed truss system at 12/12 with 12ft wide X 31ft long area above the garage...so I may eventually finish that too. In meantime it will be a great storage area. Totally pumped to have a great place to keep boat, work on it....and keep it heated if needed so I can take the boat out in winter and not worry if I do not want to immediately winterize it.

I had same issue. G21 on trailer will fit in a 24.5’ garage with breakaway hitch and platform off.

I would go G21 over 210 if you plan to keep it for a while. It’s an epic boat, likely one of the best. Justify it on resale value.

New option. Our dealer has a decent 2018 gs22. We are going to demo it this weekend. I’m still leaning towards a used g21 but will give the gs22 a chance. We are not pro surfers or wakeboarders. I do love to slalom and it will have bags to surf just like a 210 but I could still fit wakeboards and surfboards in the rear lockers, when the bags are empty. Anyone have direct comp between g21 and gs22?

I don't have a direct comparison but after reading your post and how much you love to ski, taking the gs22 out for demo is a great idea. Ski behind them both, surf behind them both and you'll get it figured out. Good luck and have fun, ask questions, take your time
