    Surfing with a wedge

Curious how much a wedge impacts your surf wave. I have an OG210 with ballast upgrades and a wakegate, but no wedge. Am I missing out by not using a wedge? How does it impact the wave? I'm guessing it drops the nose down a bit and lengthens the wave

The wedge keeps you from having to list the boat over hard on one side to surf. Listing certainly worked at the time, but it was a real pain. With the wedge, you get a good wake with the boat evenly weighted side to side.

I would definitely do a wedge. I've built a hand full of them and there is nothing to it. Much easier than transferring weight.

I would definitely recommend it. Weighting evenly and being able to quickly switch side to side is a plus. It also allows us to fill both 750 rear bags which means one less inside the boat, or extra total weight. Driving without the hard list we used to run is much easier on the wife.

Best $35 I've ever invested towards the boat.
