Hi There. I'm new to this forum so thanks in advance for allowing my discussion. I have a 2017 GS22 and have had some difficulty building a good surf wake. I have tinkered a bit with the settings and speed but mostly have relied on the factory set-up. I noticed that, when on "surf left" the boat lists a bit to the right but the ballasts all read 100% and body count is evenly distributed in the boat. When up to surf speed, the wake is decent but barely enough to keep me moving forward without working hard and i'm only 170lbs. I've surfed a fair bit and haven't experienced this before. This is my first nautique and I love everything else about it but I wouldn't mind sorting this out. Any tips on how you all are dialing-in your boat settings would be appreciated.

srussett you are not alone IMO factory setup is not enough (i'm 190lb.) ... I added 2 400lb fat sacs in the rear lockers and another one in the cockpit ... made a HUGE difference. Factory wave isn't great, you need more weight ... should be $400 or so from wakemakers.com ... you won't regret it!2017 GS22

steakNshake Thank you. I was wondering if it was just a weight thing. Local dealer wasn't a lot of help. I'll try that and let you know how it goes!

We demoed an ‘18 gs22 Saturday and while we could surf the stock wave, another 800lbs in the rear end would have made me work a lot less. It’s also going to make it easier for beginners. I just received a 2019 order sheet and pro ballast is now an option for the gs22.

Just bought an 18 GS22. Wake is not good stock so I added a wakemaker 400lb sak on each side. It is plug and play. Its a game changer. Wake is huge but still working on setup. I go 100% on surf side, 70% on off side and 50% in front at about 10.5 mph. Balance people in the boat evenly. Still working on it but first time out with the new setup was very pleased. Hope this helps
