ballast shift will work much better once they make the ballast system faster. too bad they cant do something like supras autowake that balances the boat automatically.

Not that I'm an xstar fan, but the way that they have the transom seats is very low profile and dose not eat into the storage (well based on the amount of storage the xstar has which doesn't compare to the storage of the G)
But the Misses and friends love sitting on them watching the kids play when parked in a cove etc..

Air conditioning vents for the driver. We have heat so why not AC?

I know someone with a fridge in one of the rear compartments on his G, so why not.

Is lockable storage compartments a desired option for anyone? I had that a few boats ago, and I rarely locked anything but the glove box.

Yep...this! NO STEARN SEATS! It reduces storage and frankly, I wouldn't use them!

Ya. Stearn seats used to be at the top of my list. After listening to people that have them on other boats, I have realized I don't want them. Can't legally use them when underway, and other usage times are limited. Would rather have all the storage.

We have a '13 G23 with the 550. Been a great boat and we now have about 420 Hrs and looking to update. Probably 75% of these hours are on a private lake that is only 18-20' deep.

We now surf about 90% of the time and run #1000 of lead and have two 400's PNP in the back lockers to manipulate the wake when the boat crew size is down. We usually have 4-6 in the boat and when we travel to vacation lakes, we remove the lead to keep from killing the trailer.

                    Things to keep:
Seating layout (at least inside the boat). We use the reverse facing side seats much more than the center reversible one which most other brands seem to miss.

Lowered step over to the platform. Have done an MC demo and it just feels awkward going back and forth from the boat to the platform and vice versa compared to the G.

Batteries in the subfloor. Much better than under the observers seat.

In floor removable cooler - best place ever

Although we don't have the Linc Panoray in our generation, we like the functionality and the ease of navigation using helm control without needing the touch screen

Fit and finish of the storage compartments - puts the others to shame

Things we are looking for on our next boat:

Reduced bow spray. Understand that the '16 and later hulls improved this but see a lot of complaints still especially while surfing

More adjustment with the the surf wave. Others seem to get longer and more rampy options. Not sure if the '16+ hulls improved this but still see lots of comments.

Quicker at acquiring the surf wave and less fiddling to have it clean on both sides for transitional on the fly moves. Maybe the newer versions of NSS shorten this time but when we are running heavy, it takes much longer than a recent demo we were on with a tab based system.

Quicker fill times. 10 Minutes vs the Star's 3.5 minutes = time for an update.

Transom seats. Maybe after having a boat with them I might feel different but the transom seat on the X23 and X24 seem very nice and with the hand hold and sitting below the transom line they have not been a sticking point around here from the rangers (although most of our hours are on a private lake anyways). A person always is getting up to fetch the rope and thus creates a potential for a fall. I know some storage will be lost gut it seems like the G has height to spare.

Auto leveling or load shift for load variances for a clean wake (wake boarding). we don't have Ballast Shift but it seems like this could be fairly simple and automatic with today's technology.

Maybe even a front to back auto attitude adjustment to keep the wave as consistent as possible with crew placement changes.

Reduced fuel usage. 550 HP is needed for our 5600' elevation but other hull designs are getting by with less and still keeping good plane times.

Cockpit AC is very low on my list

#1... Faster Ballast fill and empty. #2 Flip rear seating in the 210's and 230's. They used to have it... copy the G.

                        1) Faster ballast fill rate
                        2) More small device storage
                        3) Removal of rear facing middle stern seat. (I'm probally in the minority on this opinion and although I have one in my G and originally I thought it was a great idea but in reality it hardly ever gets used. When it is in use, the seat is awkward and difficult to move around to access the stern from the observer and/or bow area)
                        4) Cockpit A/C
                        5) Although the Gs are not designed for skiing, I would like to see the return of a pop up center pylon placed just above the stern lockers area for other water sport activities.

Apple Watch integration for Surf Select application would be nice since Pebble watch app has been retired.

I don't know how you add A/C in humid environments as it seems like it would just grab humidity and create mold. Now forced air may work just as well.

With all these electronics why not add an app so a spotter can make adjustments.

Along those same lines, I would like a boat without the complexities of modern day electronics.

A signed ethics pledge hung at every location a Nautique sign hangs. Signed by CEO, President and the local dealer owner. At the Factory and at every dealer.

”We stand by our product and our warranty. It means something to be a Nautique customer. If things go south, we will make it right, every time.”

It shouldn’t just be folks on their 8th Nautique that get rockstar service treatment. And the “you didnt buy yer boat here” out of territory garbage needs to be routed out and stopped immediately.

ethics, lineage and honesty >>>>> short term profits
