Help! What / Where to buy?

Looking to buy a used Nautique in a price range fo $15K to $18K.

Can anyone give me a good comparison between a closed bow and a sport/open bow Nautique?

Obviously the open bow is appealing from a capacity standpoint however I'm concerned about the ride, handling, etc.....

I used to have a 1990 Nautique and absolutley loved it. I've been looking at 1995 - 1997 years. I'm married woth 2 young girls (6 & 9) who have recently been exposed to tubing and kneeboarding and they're hooked. So, it's time......

Also, I've looked on Boat Trader, Ebay and this site. Any other good sources for used Nautiques?

Any other reccomendations of "must haves" on the boat would be great.

What other types of water activities are you interested in? Any skiing or wakeboarding? Or just tubeing and kneeboarding?

There's a big difference between the 95 SN and 97 SN. The 97 saw the advent of the TSC1 hull which many consider still the best three event boat ever. The slalom wakes on the 97 are better while the 90-96 hull is more versatile.

I'm located in Alpharetta, GA and also slalom and wakeboard although I've been away from both for awhile. I'll check out the sites provided and hopefully can get out on the water soon!

I have a 97 Open Bow....great wake, and love the boat, but......it's hard to keep the bow out of the water with people up there. Eventually, people up there get soaked, no matter how careful you are.
