I know people will scream about a dog on a boat. I just thought this was s fun picture.

My wife and I have a debate about this every now and then. This thread is somewhat connected to another popular thread right now... At any rate, my wife would love to have our dog on the G, and it just isn’t going to happen. She’s a 11 y/o Lab who we love dearly, and is very well behaved, but no way. She’s never been on a boat, and only bad things could happen. My neighbor brings their little “poo-shon” everywhere, and on his G-and that dog is so small, and doesn’t shed, I can kind of understand that. Still, I worry about nails and vinyl. Anyway, to each his own; whatever makes you happy. As for me, I couldn’t even enjoy being on my boat-worried about punctured vinyl, or worse.

Dogs are always on our boat. Never any scratch issues what so ever. Only bad thing is when they are blocking your view when pulling. I love my boat and take care of it but also believe it’s just a boat and don’t fret the small things. Between dogs and kids it makes life easier to care a little less!

My dog isn’t too keen on water or the boat. We actually wish he was so he didn’t have to stay home all day when we go out. We take him out when it’s a quiet day on the lake midweek. To prevent the vinyl puncture we put snow booties on and it works perfectly. We call them his Dogsiders.Last edited by WakingAround; 08-18-2018, 11:13 AM.
