Looking for insight between 2015 G23 and 2013 G25

Hi Guys

Newbe here. So it looks like we may be well on our way in obtaining our very first boat. We have been in numerous boats and have finally narrowed it down between a 2015 G23 w409 and a 2013 G25 w/450. We will be primarily using the boat for surfing, cruising and the occasional tube pull and both boats will fit our crew sufficiently. Just inquiring between the two to distinguish if one out performs the other in terms of surfing and reliability. Also wanted to ask if there were any known issues with the first year G25 that I should be made aware of. Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

If you don't need the space, because you always have a lot of people on board, then go with the G23. The G25 needs some additional weight for a good surfwake, i just have talked with a G25 owner last week about that and my G21 Wake in comparison. The 2013 G25 will consume more gas. I think, unless you need the space, the G23 is the perfekt size for a G.

If you could stretch it I'd go with a 2016+ G23, you get the new hull that improves surfing and spray from the bow, the new JL audio instead of Polk and the new H6 engine, which should save you cash on gas in the long run. Just a suggestion.

^^^100% with the above^^^ 0f the 2 you listed, go with the 2015 G23. it'll have drive-by-wire and throw a better wake/wave with less weight.

Get a 450 in the 23 very least for that year.

Really appreciate all the feedback and judging from the input it looks as though we may be better suited for a 2016 G23.
