    2004 Sv211 starting issue

    Hi all,
I have what I believe is an electronic problem and I'm hoping someone can point me in a logical starting direction. 2004 Sv211 PCM Excalibur 330, digital starting keypad. The analog (style) fuel gauge and the hours remaining on the tachometer lcd coincide fairly accurately. The tank was about 1/4 full and I filled up at a marina. When restarting the boat the gauge AND the hours remaining didn't change and kept going down as if I didn't put fuel in. I verified the tank was full and continued with my day figuring there would be some sending unit diagnostics in my near future. Eventually the red "low fuel" indicator started flashing and the gauge sat at empty but still had plenty of fuel. During the rest of the day I didn't shut the boat off (about 5 hours). Later I docked it for the night and the next morning I could get the power on and the fuel pump to cycle but nothing at all from the starter, not even a click. I'm new to the electronics of this boat and there doesn't seem to be this topic online (that I can find). The two questions are: 1) could these two issues be related and 2) what would be a logical starting point? I will say the batteries are fully charged, the boat is in neutral, I haven't found any tripped breakers or blown fusees.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

Start by making sure the control module at the helm has the same voltage as the batteries. Make sure the grounds are good front and back

Did you turn off battery to reset the system? May be that computer needs to reset. You may even wanna disconnect for 1mins, but battery switch to "off" for a couple mins should do the trick IF that is the issue.
No click from starter....could kill switch be pulled off? (typically not how kill switch works, but some boats its wired different and rather than no spark, allows no power to starter, maybe wiggle that to verify. Also possible that you need to wiggle the throttle for it to recognize its in neutral, perhaps the neutral safety switch has an issue. That is typical symptom of throttle not being in neutral tho i know you said you checked that....I would bump it in/out of gear, then back to neutral, to be sure.

Could surely be grounds too as indicated in above post....just a couple other things to check.

This might just be something to rule out but I would check the forums on the gateway issue. I read a lot of different problems coming from it but all of them ended being the "Gateway problem". https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...-faria-gateway
