Next year I am planing on getting a storage unit near the marina so if I need something it'll take me 15 minutes to get it without having o pack everything all the time just in case.
This is probably the real decision on space. I am on the water so I do not need to haul anything I will potentially need and I leave things on the dock

3 wake boards - Mine (with 10 - 11 size boots), and then a small and large boat with generic boot size.
3 Surfboards - a beginner board (Liquid force Rocket), then my surfboard and my wife's board.
      1 Wakeskate

Several life jackets. Several sizes for adults both Men's and Women's Jackets and then a bunch of kids sizes.

With the 230 I can get most of this out the way until I start filling the ballast. then things get less comfortable. and I need to try make room.

      I see print on the page, but all I hear is...I need a G, I need a G, I need a G.

I agree with “I need a G comment”. The first question was about drivability and now it is about all the storage requirements. My 230 is in a marina and we go out 3-4 times a day so taking a wakeboard in the morning and throwing on the dock in the afternoon is not a big deal. If you need to haul around 15 life jackets, 6 boards, 48 beer and lunch and dinner for 12 people the G is your best bet. A sacked out 230 has an awesome wave for a substantial savings but you lose a ton of storage compared to the G.

I have a 16 G23 and a 15 SN 200. I am constantly impressed on how the G drives and preforms. I have it on Lake Tahoe so I know what chop is and it does great for a boat of its size. We are good about not power turning back to the rider and we never take water over the bow even with too many up front.
The 230 is a great boat specially if you want to slalom or your kids are young. The G doesn’t put out a good 14-16 mph wake even completely unweighted.

As far as handling goes the 230 is better in all situations, period. Its like comparing storage, the G is better, period.

The g23 or g25 is not going to magically handle better than the g21, its going to be a bigger pig.

Why would you think resale would go down if the 230 was discontinued? in most cases this would make the resale go UP. I don't foresee the 210/230 going away anytime soon as its there "price point" boat, but who knows Nautique could always come out with a replacement.

There's tons more to debate on which is the better boat for YOU, but only you can figure that. Best thing to do is go Demo them both and try and do it on a day or at a lake that you can test calm water AND rough/headwind conditions.

I can't compare directly free board in wind between the G23 and 230, but the amount is significant... To the point if I'm wiping it down while my gf is cooking dinner the G for a solo person wipe down has waaaay more gelcoat to wipedown.

I'm sorry, but no. That is completely absurd. The 230 is not a slalom boat and it has nothing to do with kids being young. The 230 is a surf boat.

+1. I've tried slalom on my 230 and others. At 32mph the wake scared me to death. Well maybe that's a little dramatic, but you get the point.

The surf wave though? Oh man.

While you don't buy a 230 to slalom it isn't that bad. This is a video that someone posted a while back. You can see he has to back off a lot when crossing but doable. I think however that it is indisputable that if you want to surf you buy a surf boat, if you want to ski(slalom) you buy a ski boat, if you want to do both you buy both.
