some people are forgetting another important reason to keep boats narrow aside from better wake, that is road regulations. There are many roads where anything over 8' is considered oversize. So, how many would be willing to buy big yellow "oversize load" signs and an extra vehicle with yellow rotating beacon, plus buying an oversize load permit, every time you are towing the boat to the lake?
The way to make more room in the 210 would be to increase the freeboard, leave the lower mold intact, modify the deck mold like they did in 2002 to increase the locker room. more freeboard would allow for higher seats, so the storage underneath the seats would be the place where all that extra freeboard goes, and as the seats are longer, the legs don't go as far in, so the inside looks much bigger. Just remember the old Martiniques... That would be an inexpensive way to fix the 210 without adding any shortcomings, keeping her perfect hull characteristics and easy storage and towing size.
Last, boats are always she, so if the vlx and the vtx are related, they would be sisters, not brothers.
