Wakeboarding wake G21 v G23

Posting for a buddy of mine. He’s out to buy a new boat and is a great wakeboarder. He recently tried out a G23 and really liked it but thought the boat was just to big for our lake. Our dealer does not have a G21 currently. How’s the wakeboaring wake compared to the two? To note this guy is anti surfing so he could care less about the surf wake. He just wants a big booting wake that’s easy to set up. Current has an OG X-star that takes for ever to get set up.

G21 wake is a little steeper than the G23, with a little more pop at the top, but both are great and easy to set up.

Coming from an OG X-Star, he will probably like the G23 wake better than the G21.

The G21 is noticeably steeper than the G23---more like an old (pre 2007) SAN 210 but bigger and easier to build plus it has more ramp at the base before it gets steep.

I have quite a bit of time behind both G23 and G21 and find that a G21 with NCRS on 3 or 4 is closer to a G23 wake depending on how the G23 is set up....the NCRS setting makes quite a difference. (I ride at 23 mph, 70')
