60 hrs this season. Put more hours on my lawn mower than my boat. Something is wrong with my priorities.

LOL! I feel your pain. This whole work thing keeps getting in the way of my boat fun!

swc5150, 7 hours? Your boat is not even broken in yet. Next summer you are going to have to figure out a way to get some hours on that boat. Bring it over for a weekend and we will put the course in for you.

            120. We usually only go out when on vacation. But when we go out, we put 8+ hours a day.
Someone is always getting pulled behind the boat. Swim breaks and lunch breaks are quick.

Am at a little over 50 hours and we will probably put another 20 on it before winterizing.

Having said that, I did put 25 hours on an Albury Brothers center console in the Abaco Islands the first week in August.

Only 60hrs on my boat, but I have 3 friends I go with 1-2 times a week and we swap boats since we all have one, so over 200hrs for sure so far. We surf till Thanksgiving every week and depending on weather go till xmas. I moved into my new home next to lake a few weeks ago and built a detached heated boat garage so I can go all winter if it does not get too cold. We all keep wetsuits and water does not get colder than 60 degrees here, so it possible!

Jeff, what is a blue bomber? Got any pictures? Have wanted to build a "vintage" wooden boat for years, specifically a "Crackerbox" something like the one pictured, tho I doubt it would come out that nice. That one was for sale twice, once in the pacific northwest (too far away to worry about) but then again a couple years later in Connecticut. I was tempted and it was priced reasonably, quite a bit less than to build, but I never pulled the trigger. Lack of time, space and cash have stood in the way of the build.

Mine's not quite as cool as that one, but it is a lot of fun! It'll go about 30 with me in it, and it only has a 25 HP Mercury on it.

We call it the Blue Bomber. It is a Glen-L Dyno Mite that was built by the previous owner in 2003. Fun boat!

That is still a cool little boat. I dont want to threadjack the hour thread too badly, but one more comment. Glen-L has what they call their "crackerbox" plan that I have stared at for years. I put it in quotes because it is more a small gentleman's racer vs a crackerbox. Even the one I posted is kind of one off. For those that dont know, crackerboxes are a 40s-50s vintage racing class, but are still raced, primarily on the west coast. P-80 here is an example. Probably the best Glen-L crackerbox I have seen online is the first one here. the red and yellow one was for sale near me about 10 years ago. I looked at it. $2000, pretty fair, even including the fact that it had no engine. OK guys, you can have your thread back.

We are at over 150. And a lake draw down is cutting us short this year. Have to put it away in a few weeks.

That sounds good! I equally embarrassed to say the boat has yet to see a course too.
