New way to launch a truck

My brother-in-law sent my wife this picture today at lunch.

From what I understand this happened at Lake Austin on the 4th of July.

I hope it is not one of us, but if so, I want more detals.

Looks like the boat is ok, and at least they rememberd to put the plug in (I hope).

      Nice work.

I watched a mid 90s MC toast his engine July 4 while going across the lake straight from launching. By the time he got to the other side (small lake, 450 acres you can see all the way across) he was billowing lots of white smoke. Next time I saw him was being towed back to the launch by the DNR.

Looks like the person at the end of the ramp on the left is doubled over with laughter / pain.

haha! I saw that picture just a few minutes ago and was about to post it! I too hope it wasn't any of the people here. That's what happens when you let an Aggie take your boat out. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

I did hear one time of a guy that was complaining of performance problems, and then they discovered he still had the trailer underneath! I think even a SN might have trouble pullin around both of those units

                  I know about this one...

They forgot to detach the hook and floored it in reverse to drive off! Otherwise the boat would floating level.

                  How does this sh** happen?

Could reverse really do that? Pull the whole truck into the water?!

                    If so... that's insane!

I don't know if reverse could do that. I'd imagine they came down the ramp too fast, and just slid into the water. Just my thought.

Actually, i was just joking, but I do think the boat is still attached to the trailer. Maybe the driver got out of the truck without puting it into Park properly and it just rolled back.

I'd put my money on that scenario.

yeah that sounds about right & yeah he definitely didn't unhook the bow eye yet, as the bow is about a foot deeper then the stern of the boat haha.

So...do you think it's possible to drive the boat and push the whole rig back up the ramp? I'd sure as **** like to watch someone try.
