2019 G23 vs 2017 G23

Anyone that has a 2019 G23, can you give me some advice on the advantages of the 2019 over the 2017 G23. This will be our first Nautique and am just curious if paying the price is worth getting the 2019? Thank you for any input

i hope this is in the correct section.... I am looking to purchase my first Nautique, my question is while looking and shopping which model to choose and by model i guess i mean year. I am lookin at a 2017 or a 2019. Are there enough differences in the 2019 to have it be the choice? Thank you for any input

Your question is very open ended. Nautique makes a wide range of boats from ski,to crossover, to wakeboard/wake surf specific. We need to know what you primarily want to use the boat for to answer your question.

2019 will get you the new frameless windshield with vent doors, power tower that folds down to the rear, new bimini design, an optional tower-down cover, new style seat release on the port lean-back, and different stereo options.

I think it’s only worth it if you want the power down tower. I don’t like towing with tower up so to me it was worth it to have brand new plus the other little things Jeff mentioned above. If you don’t care about power tower then save the $ and get a 17.

We have a 2016 G23 and it just amazing. Aside from the larger display and the docking thruster system on the new model, there is very little difference between the two boats, as they provide the same surfing and wake boarding experience. Your call if you want to spend the extra money. The thrusters look really nice as maneuvering the G23 while docking can be a challenge, especially when its windy.

Well that doesn't really answer Evening Shades' question. We need to know what you want to do with the boat. Wakeboard? Surf, Slalom Ski? Where will you keep it when you're not using it? Will you be towing? If so, what's your tow vehicle?

Mr Charles, we will be mainly wake boarding and surfing so the G23 is the boat we are going with, just trying to get all the info i can to decide this week

I think the biggest changes from a 2017 G23 to the 2019 G23 are as follows:
2019 offers the thruster (added in 2018) which helps slow speed steering
2019 has a power fold tower.

Other than those, it is mostly the same boat. Colored interior became more common after 2017, but I think it was still offered in 2017. The stereo options have changed a little as well.

No matter which one you get, can I get a pull next time I'm in Vegas?

Depends on your docking situation. It is a $10K option. If you have to dock in a marina, and there is often a lot of wind, maybe it might be worth it. I have been on boats that have it, and it really works nicely. For me, it is one of those options that would be nice to have, but $10K buys a lot of other nice stuff too.
