SV-211 Project - Need some opinions on the interior

I recently picked up a 2006 SV-211 TE with 350 hours - however the boat was pretty neglected over the past couple of years due to the previous owner having some personal issues.

Anyhow - I was able to get a great deal and I enjoy projects. Boat runs great, and so far all the work has been pretty basic. I've learned more about this boat in the past few weeks than I could have ever imagined.

The big work is the interior. All the upholstery needs redone, which I have lined up from a local shop that I trust. The carpet is also shot, as is the sano pad on the swim platform. My plan is to jump on the group buy started here for the AquaMarine Deck to replace all the carpet and Sano padding on the swim platform and the transom.

Here's where I need some help: The front passthrough sides and the small arm rest behind the drivers seat all need redone. I'm thinking of doing the same material on those surfaces as on the floor, vs having the upholstery shop recover those parts. I'm also thinking to tie it all together, have a pad made for the glove box as well.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyone seen it done before?

I plan on grey teak over black - but on these pieces, I would leave the teak lines off and have a border routed out around the edges.

Boat has a black hull, interior will be all white/black.

Thanks for the help!!! I can't believe how much I have learned from this board in the past two weeks!!!

That's a valid point - I will remove it and check before I make a decision. I will need to take the padding off to have it redone either way...

I do like the idea of changing that spot behind the drivers seat. It was always a useless spot and maybe putting SeaDek there it would keep people form stepping on the seats. Not sure about the pass through area. I have never been a big fan of putting SeaDek on spots that are not flat or horizontal.

a little over a year ago I found a deal on Seadek to replace all the black pads on the transom plus the side step pads. The factory pads (with the N embossed in them) breakdown and start tracking black marks into the boat. Really happy with the grey Seadek pads. I have a teak swim step, if I had a fiberglass step I would Seadek that too.

about 5 years ago I had Corinthian make me a full set of interior carpets. My boat is white with a blue stripe, interior is white with blue trim and black piping. I had the carpet done in dark blue with black edge binding, it came out great, I get lots of compliments on my interior, the carpet it holding up much better than the factory carpet did.

For the little spot behind the driver, now that you have me thinking about it. I might make a Seaboard plate in the shape to cover the top of the surface then have a Seadek pad cut to fit the plate. That way it would match my step pads and transom pads. If I wanted to get fancy I could also add a clear plex layer and add LEDs under it to match my cupholders, maybe.

shoot me any questions you have about the 211, I know this boat pretty well
