I recently picked up a 2006 SV-211 TE with 350 hours - however the boat was pretty neglected over the past couple of years due to the previous owner having some personal issues.
Anyhow - I was able to get a great deal and I enjoy projects. Boat runs great, and so far all the work has been pretty basic. I've learned more about this boat in the past few weeks than I could have ever imagined.
The big work is the interior. All the upholstery needs redone, which I have lined up from a local shop that I trust. The carpet is also shot, as is the sano pad on the swim platform. My plan is to jump on the group buy started here for the AquaMarine Deck to replace all the carpet and Sano padding on the swim platform and the transom.
Here's where I need some help: The front passthrough sides and the small arm rest behind the drivers seat all need redone. I'm thinking of doing the same material on those surfaces as on the floor, vs having the upholstery shop recover those parts. I'm also thinking to tie it all together, have a pad made for the glove box as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyone seen it done before?
I plan on grey teak over black - but on these pieces, I would leave the teak lines off and have a border routed out around the edges.
Boat has a black hull, interior will be all white/black.
Thanks for the help!!! I can't believe how much I have learned from this board in the past two weeks!!!
