Roswell Triton Strapless Board Racks - Custom Covers - Speakersox

All - I'm going into my 1st winter with my Roswell Triton Strapless Board Racks with no covers on them for protection because currently no one makes covers to fit these board racks. At +/- $3,000.00 for a pair of these racks, I want to cover them during my lay-up period. I approached Roswell and they said it was a great idea and that they may carry them in the future but none are available now. They did say they would bring my idea up at their next design meeting. Nonetheless they told me to contact Speakersox.com because they make custom rack covers. The dimensions of the Roswell Triton Rack which I received from Roswell is 20 x 15 x 12 inches. I don't want to organize but this would be a great opportunity for a group buy because I think there is a real need for these covers, not so much for the folks who have 2019s with tower down covers, but other owners with 2016-2018 models where the tower and board racks are exposed while the cover is on the boat. They have made approx 12 Roswell Triton covers thus far. Once I have pictures, I will post .

Below are the Roswell Trition board rack covers made by Speakersox. I just purchased a set and Speakersox just produced 10 pairs to fit the Roswell Triton racks.. Have you considered unbolting the tracks from the tower and storing inside the boat or in another more protected location. It would only take a few minutes and guarantees no issues

No my boat is protected in a boathouse with a cover on it therefore no need to remove the strapless board racks from the boat. These slip on covers are just another layer of protection during my lay-up period.

Exactly, at my stage in life, it is all about convenience . A one time hit of $169.00 is easier than removing the fing racks each winter. LOL

Here is another picture of my Roswell Triton Racks with the new Speakersox covers on them during my winter layup period. After installing the covers they are good and snug with the draw strings pulled. There is no reason why someone could not use these during trailering in order to protect them and keep the bugs off. They would hold up fine during a long trailer trip.

Yeah they are super tight so they should not be a problem while towing. When Jim made my set, he produced 10 Roswell Triton Rack Cover sets so he should have them in inventory

Not waterproof but fabric has been ScotchGuarded. In regards to garbage bags, there is no way you could tow a boat with garbage bags over the racks; they would not hold up going down the highway . Jusy saying LOL

Hate to disagree but the trash bags do work. I used to have polished racks and did this many times going to and from lake Tulloch (3 hours each way).

There. Is always a cheaper way . Still glad I spent $160 for custom fit covers vs garbage bags on my $150,000 boat. Bend over LOL

I dealt with Jim on speakersox before and speak very highly of the customer service.

I would not hesitate to use these for towing. Once they are full of bugs, throw them in the wash and they are good as new. Using them for towing is a better reason to get them than the winter layup.

I cannot speak for the newer racks, but on my 2016, 2 of the holes were very recessed to get to the allen wrench bolts and removing the rack took more time and effort than it seems it should. I wouldn't want to remove it every fall and reinstall every spring if I could avoid it.
