Garmin Fenix Watch & Surf Select

Has anyone heard any news on the release of the Surf Select feature compatiable with the Garmin Fenix watch? The Nautique announce on this was suppose to be November 2018, but I have yet to hear anything new.

Nothing from Nautique on this in November even though that's what we were told. My dealer has an email into Nautique on this. No response yet.

Don't you mean the Pebble watch disaster? Or is there also a GoPro disaster?

What Pebble watch disaster? I've used one for 2 years now. In fact, hardly anybody wants to surf WITHOUT it anymore.

My Pebble watch has never worked properly. My dealer even took it out at their local lake testing everything after a software update, and they could not get it to work. Then again, my blue Surf Select remote has only worked a few times, as well.

Do the 2019s come with a watch? (Pebble or Garmin) Or is it just the software capability to work with certain watches you can buy? Thanks!

No like Charles my Pebble watch has worked just fine. I love it and use it all the time and would not surf without it. I was refering to the GoPro disaster

I say that only because no on told me it would come with a watch and my understanding is that the previous Pebble watches didn't come with the boat and were a separate purchase. I have operated under the assumption that the same is true for the Garmin.

No the boat if it was ordered with the Surf Select option will be equipped with the Surf Select software and module. Unfortunately you will be required to order the Garmin Fenix watch which is not cheap at +/- $450.00. The 2019 G which Bevostein just ordered will be equipped with the Surf Select module to be compatible with the Garmin Fenix watch; doubtful his new boat will function with the Pebble watch.

In a nutshell - Pebble watch +/- $35.00 vs Garmin Fenix at +/-$450.00
