Curious, I am getting some new skins for my 08 Nautique but my boat is in storage several hours away. I am going to go up and remove the seats I am replacing. But one cushion I have never removed before is the back rest of the rear seat. Do I need any certain tools I should bring with me to remove it?

Mine is a 98 but I would imagine it is the same or close. You likely have two tie down or straps on each end and then it would just lift up. It has cleats on the back of the seat that hold it in place.

Take a socket set just in case, that is how my cushions are secured, there are nuts and washers that you remove from engine compartment area, roughly 1/2" tho cant remember if SAE or Metric

My 03 has large plastic thumb screws holding the seat back to the fiber glass. I had to reach my had up there to feel what the hardware was. It surprised me. One on the far left as it wraps to the gunwale, same on the far right and then one in the center. They are at the top, so you rally have to reach under.
To remove, gently pull either left or right side and then work your way to the other side.
