    Weighting 98 Air For Surfing

The family is trying out the new surf board.

What is the optimal weighting for a 98 Air?

We tried approximately 500lbs in the ski locker, 500lbs in the trunk, ballast tanks full and about 250lbs on the drivers side.
The wake was very mushy and washed out. The kids could surf without the handle but the adults had a hard time getting enough wake to let go of the handle.

    Any input is appreciated!

try taking out the weight in the ski locker. You should get a picture of the wake, but it just sounds like you need the rear to sit lower through the water. And since you are using a D-drive, you have a lot of midboat weight pushing the nose down already - so try and empty the ski locker bag (keep the rear bag full), and have everyone sit as far back and to the same side to get the rear corner of the boat as deep into the water as you can, that should allow the curl to break behind the rider, not infront.
