1997 Super Sport with or with out ballast.

I have a 1997 Super Sport that I am going to be putting up for sale come spring. To help the sale I am having a New Dimensions tower installed on it. My question is will I up my value enough to make it worth while to install a complete ballast system? I have everything to do a complete ballast system, 2-750's 1-370 3-reversible ballast pumps etc, (I took advantage of wake makers black Friday sale) however I think I could return this all if it will not up my value enough to make it worth it.

Most of the options people will be interested in are a tower, bimini, cover, ballast system, and perfect pass. I think about a boat sale positioned as someone being able to get on the water and store their boat. A tower, bimini, and cover are most important and the ballast system and perfect pass going in last. To answer your question, the ballast system will not recover the investment it takes to install, especially if you factor in your time. To do it right you'll need at least 10-15 hours and a $1,000. I will say its a good choice going with ND on the tower, these boats just don't look as good with a non factory tower. Nice looking boat!

    Here is your price point.

I would send the ballast equipment back . Not worth it to install. Sell boat and be done with it

No way no how would I put a tower on that boat or even ballast! Anyone looking at that boat will appreciate it FWIW and if they don't they just don't know their boats. Leave it as is as that's a beautiful boat and should sell itself if priced correctly! If It were closed bow and I had the means I'd take it off your hands! GLWS

Tower for sure....ballast is a toss up. Great piece of mind for purchaser to know the boat hasn’t been sacked out and driven hard all it’s life. But then again, chances are whoever buys it will want to install ballast. Maybe if you post it up now, give the option of selling ballast equipment with it uninstalled, for full asking price. If they want to negotiate price down, retract the ballast and return it.
