I would disagree that a tower makes a boat a wakeboard boat, I am primarily a skier and barefooter however I like to do everything else (trick, foil, board, etc.) as time allows. I always foot from my tower and ski from the low point on my extended pylon. You may want to consider the factory extended pylon as well, if nothing else it holds up the cover well.
