Our dealer seems to have no trouble getting the new flight clips. They seem to work great and look great now that they clamp on to the tower oppose to being drilled in. If I needed board racks, they are defenately a must. I have two great pics of them, I'll post them when i get home.

My dealer has them sitting in his showroom new in boxes. He was installing a pair on a new 216 that day. I have the new clamp on style on my 04 SANTE and they work great. I like that they are made of steel. They are indestructable and you can powder coat them to match or offset the color of your tower!! Stick with the Flight Clips, you won't regret it!!
So AbunDiga, what color did you decide on??? The suspense is killing me!Nautique... The final step up.

haha...looks like this is a contendor...
Green Primary
White or Gray secondary (I like white better)
Silver Metallic Piping
Black Hull
Silver or Green Tower
Same applies for interior except with gray or black secondary, I dont' want a white secondary in the interior, i dont think it will look as nice...I Nautique, therefore I am.

Sounds nice... I would go with:
Green primary
Grey secondary
Silver metallic accent tape
Black hull
Silver tower
Interior: Green primary
Grey secondary
Silver metallic piping
The silver tower balances the grey secondary nicely, and the silver metallic piping balances the silver metallic accent tape. Just a suggestion... play with the accent tape color between silver and black, it really does make a big difference. At first I wanted silver, but black ended up looking better on mine.
Great choice with colors, I have seen an orange one on our lake very similar. It looks awesome!!!Nautique... The final step up.

Our dealer was lucky enough to win an order for an 03 Air 216 last year. His choice of colors were orange tower, orange hull, orange primary, and gray secondary, dunno his accent tape. It looks real nice and when your in the boat, the orange tower looks awesome suprisingly. That boat was the one what turned us on to gray. And btw, it has an orange duel axle ramlin trailer with brushed aluminum fenders... You may think it is too orange, but when you see it in person, it really just looks simpy amazing... I'll post a pic later of it...I Nautique, therefore I am.

True, there will be two "useless" switches on our boat. The Belly Ballast and the Shower. However, we hope to make one of those switches tower lights, and if we dont think the curtesy lights arent good enough, we may do some customizing there...
BTW, here is our dealers orange 216...I Nautique, therefore I am.

I also agree about the tape colors, but I'm not sure exactly how many colors are availble as tape. The color selector offers all of them, but that seems doubtful. On the other hand, I know that Ramlin has green tape...

I like the 216 above alot!! I don't think it is to much orange at all! We were going to go with orange in some type of color combo. I think the green and orange are some of the most eye catching colors out there.
I remember when I was looking at used boats prior to buying ours new. I came across this absolutely flawless SAN. It had around 50 hours on it. It was priced way below market value. Only thing was...It was PURPLE! The guy that owned it said when he bought it, purple was the hot new color. He later wished he had gone with a more traditional color. The boat sat on the market for months and months.
I always kept that in the back of my mind. I didn't want my boat to ever look dated, or out of style, so we went more traditional colors. (Midnight blue primary, Gray secondary).
However, I'm glad we all have different opinions on colors and boats. How boring would it be if we all had the same boat with the same color.
Whatever you choose, it will look awesome. After all...it's a Nautique!Nautique... The final step up.

I have seen a couple of boats that looked almost identical to mine, and I was kinda offended. I wanted a one of a kind, not a mass produced combo. Both boats were still at the dealer (Sail & Ski, not my dealer) and I am sure they got the idea after seeing mine, but then again, my boat was not special ordered, and was used in the houston boat show, so many peopl saw it before I even knew it existed.

I know there is gonna be a point in my life where I'm not gonna have the money for a new Nautiuqe, and I'm gonna have to pay for a boat on my own. That is where I would rather buy a 4-5 yr old Nautique over a new Mobius, being that the prices are on the same page. When I get to that point, color will not make a difference to me, to a certain extent of course...I Nautique, therefore I am.
