RE: Ski Wake, Behind 216, 206
Thinking about it. I love the 211 but the wife really wants a smaller ski wake and I don't do anything but sky ski anymore so it don't matter to me what the wake is. I like the 216 for the extra space, is there really a lot of difference in the 206 and 216 wake at 34 mph?Life is Short, Live it!

I have a 206 and a buddy has a 216. While the 206 is better, the 216 is still an approved slalom boat. On the 216 (after the bump) as along as you keep the ski on edge, it isn't bad. On the bump, look out. In front of it, not too bad.

I also have a 206 and IMO there is a big difference not only in the wake but also the handling/tracking. With the 206 you do give up some space in the trunk and the bow seating. I would recommend you drive both and more importantly have your wife ski behind both as well, either way you can't go wrong, both are great boats.

I think you'll miss a lot of the extra room that the 211 has over the 216, and certainly with the 206. This may sound a bit over the top, but after trading in on a new 206, the loss in depreciation may help justify keeping the 211 and buying a used 196. At least you'll get the right wake for sure.

You may be right. As stated before, I don't care and am more than happy with what I have. The wife is the skier.Life is Short, Live it!

You take that correctly, she likes to free ski at 34 to 36 mph, she's not that good in the course.Life is Short, Live it!
