2019 Nautique GS24 - Wake for Surfing & Wakeboarding

We have a 2018 GS24. We got it last April. It’s a solid boat. The wake is decent, but it does need to be dialed in. The weight needs to be in the back of the boat otherwise the wake shape is not good. There’s like a double lip. But once you empty the front ballasts it smooths out. This year we are going to put an additional 400lbs in the back permantly. Should smooth out any issues.

We mainly wake surf and pack in the boat with several families. The boat is roomy, luxurious, and lots of storage. We went from a Tige Z3 and it’s a step above. I’ll be out this summer with my buddies LSV 25 so it’ll be interesting to compare the 2 back to back.

So we looked at the G23 and the GS24 side by side. Price was somewhat a consideration but not entirely. We mainly wanted a family friendly boat, that was roomy. It came down to interior/exterior styling, seating, and some new interior design directions they will most likely be using on all boats moving forward. My kids are 7 and 4, and so are all the other families kids as well. So when comparing side by side the GS was a better choice for our younger family. That may change in the future but for now this boat is everything we need and more.

I have a 2019 GS24 ordered, being built in April. I sure hope I’m able to report the boat has a good surf wave. We opted for the additional space over the G23. The test drive was me and the salesman and the wave looked very clean and long. I’d think the G’s wave would be taller. I’m a novice so hoping we don’t end up with buyer’s remorse once we get out there.

Love my 2019 GS24!!! Surfs great, I took out the pro ballast bags and replaced them with larger bags (twin 750’s)and it improved the wave even more and still have a lot of storage room in rear lockers. Not sure what else you would want out of the wave, lots of push, very large pocket (larger than G) and great size! Boat drives great and lots of room for all, not a Boat in the lineup that I would purchase over it. Love it!
