    New Toy (literally)

Found this little guy on Ebay last week. I opened the package at home, thinking I might just give it to my kids. In demonstrating how fragile it might be (I tried to pick it up by the tower) the tower broke into 3 pieces.

I glued it back together, put it back in the package, and said, "sorry I guess it's just gonna sit on my desk at work." When I got it out of the package a second time this morning, I dropped it and broke the tower again. Right now the top cross piece is just resting there, held by magic and a little tension from the sides.

The package said Copyright 2001. But this has details of the '05 model - the graphics, and the rear hatch design. Whatever, it's close enough to my boat. I love it!

I've searched ebay for Nautique things for longer than I care to admit, and I've never seen one of these before. I'm sure someone else here has one, if anyone does. But yeah, still in the package and everything! Until I got my hands on it, that is.

Well since my real life truck can't probably safely tow my boat (not far anyway) I think finding one to tow the 1/64 is a great idea!

I don’t see any details that make it a 2005. I see 2002 details like the rear grab bars and the wooden swim platform.

The rails I think might even be an '01 thing, not '02 - the thing that is more like an '05 is the split rear hatch with the little indents. My '03 has the latches underneath (electric). I think the "knee buster" latches started in '04 or '05.

EDIT - Disregard the above, I just looked at some other pics of a 2001 Super Air and it seems like all the details I noticed are accurate (near enough) to the '01. That makes sense, of course, but I was thinking the '01 still had the big N swoosh... but that's 2000...

Yes, the tower is super fragile. I have one and the kids are not allowed to play with it.
