Thinking about picking up a Sport Nautique 200

Looking to get out of the dd ski only boats. Wife is demanding more seating area. We only ski, wakeboard, and wakeskate. Never surfed nor do i really have the interest for it. If water conditions are okay we will do some footing, but not a priority. Looking at a 2014 sport with 300 or so hours. Is it a good boat for what we do?

Sounds like a good fit to me. I wanted one of those really bad so i am kind of biased. Couldn’t afford one and bought an SV211 which I have also been happy with.

There have been several discussions on this forum about the pros/cons. Search sport 200. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me. I have a 2011 with the 6 liter.

I have a 2012 with the 343hp motor. We do everything on this boat, including barefoot. I also wanted more room/seating. I had a "95"ski before I pulled the trigger on it. 4 kids was very tight quarters on a closed bow boat! This was the first V-drive I had been behind that had a wake even close to that of my "95"...….in fact I think it is better. Since I mainly care about Slalom that was VERY much a priority for me. Good luck looking but I can assure you that you will not be disappointed!!

Should be a great fit for you. My wife and I considered one, as she also wanted more space than our little 196, but the wake wasn't quite as friendly as she hoped at 24mph.

Great boats. I would try and find one with the bigger engine. Mine with the 343 had about all she wanted at 41 empty on smooth water

I agree with what others have said about the 200s being great boats. I have a 2011 for sale currently. Posted on this site and elsewhere if you're interested.
