2019 G23 surf wake weird on starboard side

so I have been out and messed with the waves a bit on this machine...it’s so amazing.

What i I find is I can do no wrong on the port side...I can make it long, short, steep, etc and it seems to stay clean all of the time...then there is the starboard side. Every time out it’s another session of screwing with stuff for a while to get a semi-clean wave.

Today i I ended up with full belly, 90% rears, and the NSS and NCRS at 0 at 11.4mph.

I have lead lead in the typical spots. 150 in the nose, 250 mid port, and I believe 50 mid starboard...this is with only 2 people in the boat. Hoping for some things to try next session...we have been mostly surfing in the summer and I seem to mess with it so much while we’re out for that side that I cannot make sense of it.

Im surprised you are having an issue on the starboard side. I took my 2019 out today for the first time and at 11.4 full ballast, NCRS 3 and NSS 0 the starboard side wave was very long and clean. The port side was the side i was having trouble cleaning up. It was nice but not nearly as good as the starboard side. I don't have any lead in my boat and only had 3 people today though.

I have a 19 and no lead. We usually go full everything and to lengthen the wave a bit kick the speed to 11.7 and starboard is really nice.

So odd. My dealer even said their rule of thumb has been to setup and get starboard clean as it will always mean a clean wave port side. Attaching a pic showing as good as it got...not great.

With a light load and NCRS 0 the 2016+ G23 hull will often produce a washed out wave. It helps to understand how the surf system works. NCRS (Nautique Configurable Running Surface) is the center place that works to trim the bow down. Set to 0 the plate is in the downward-most position causing the stern to ride high and the bow down). This means the rear of the hull is having the least affect on shaping the wave. With insufficient weight (not enough lead or fuel) the wave will often wash out.

It looks like your rider is on a surf board and most surfers want a steeper wave. To do this I would suggest you fill all of your ballast (especially with only 2-3 people in the boat). Then set the NSS to 0 and NCRS to 2 or 3. At this setting you should see a clean wave, especially if you have full fuel. You can flatten the wave by setting NCRS to 2 or 1, but I would never suggest going to 0 unless you have a pretty heavy boat and are pulling skimmers.

I will give it a try...thank you. Most of us are on skim boards but either way with a clean wave I can mess with the steepness, etc
