Plenty comfortable with that many people. What starts to eat up space fast is bags and coolers. We work out of a lake house %90 of the time so that is never a problem. I have had 8 adults on board and all good. We have had 12 one time but was a mix of adults and children and was tight for sure, but it worked for a short period of time. Would not suggest it for an all day outing, but worked for what we wanted to do. It’s a great and very proven platform. If you are concerned about room on it then I would not even consider the GS20. If you work your dealer, you can get a 230 for a few grand over your $100k budget and get enough space to not even worry about it.

Great. You’ve been very helpful. I dont even know if space would be an issue with are small group, I just knew it was a tad narrower than the GS20 and thought I would ask. That’s the other boat in my price range. I’m MAXED out. Lol I think now, as surfing being a major priority, the resale value of a Nautique, especially given the low hours we will out on it having 4 month summers (I work out of town half of that) and given are small group it’s a no brainer! I don’t want the wider GS20 and sacrifice the wave quality just because I may need it further down the road. Our party won’t get much bigger and ifnit ever does I can always upgrade. The 2019 210 seems like a great boat for a newbie, first time boat owner, and a small group to ride with. Thx again

For a first boat the 210 is great to learn how to drive an inboard as well.

Unless you plan on hitting the pro circuit soon the 210 will be more than enough of a wave

210 all day long. NXT 20 is a nothing burger, and the NXT22 isn’t even close to the performance level of a 210. The lack of bow rise on the 210 also makes its cake to drive while surfing .

I think a 230 may be to big of a boat at this point. Our lake is big but not as big as some in the lower 48. Plus we do t have that big of a group and being my first ever boat, the 210 would be better to handle. I only considered the GS20 because I like the shape of the bow and it was also a smaller boat. Don’t a large boat at this point. Thx for chiming in! All the advice helps

Hahaha awesome. I just ordered a new 210. I’m totally new to the sport and this actually my first boat. I guess I’m probably over thinking things. Doesn’t help I’m getting the third degree from the local Mastercraft dealer for not buying a MC. All he could off under 100k was a NXT20/22. I liked the fit and finish and options of the 210 over those models. I will say, they are nicer in person than I thought they would be. After hearing all of the negative comments online, I was expecting a lot worse. I know the NXT surfs well (to a newbie anyway) and I hope the 210 is at least just as good.

Congrats on your order! You don't have to, but I'd recommend ordering 500 pounds of leadwake so it's ready to go when your boat arrives. I have a 2017 230 with 650 exact fits in the rear and found that the additional 500 pounds, when placed to slightly list the boat to the surf side, made a huge difference.

You'll love your 210! The Pro Ballast will give you plenty of wave to get you going. As you progress, you can easily swap out the Pro Ballast bags for larger bags and really pump up your wave. Or as stated above you can add lead weights... I just don't like having the extra weight on my lift so I avoid any lead weights.

Mine is all stock with pro ballast. If your new to the sport I recommend learning to surf all stock, then transition into more weight or bigger bags .

I see this sometimes where new surfers think you can just stand there and throw rope in and then blame the wake or the boat if you can’t . I can assure you your boat is more than capable as is .

                          My settings are
                          All tanks full
                          Nss at 2
Lever all the way back (off)

Any advice for a board? I heard the right board makes a world of difference also. I’m 5’11” 225lbs. And your the third person who has suggested riding it stock to begin with. Think that’s what I’ll do Thx! And yes, I’m BRAND new. Attempted it once last year and decided to upgrade from a couple of 18’ seadoo’s. ‍♂️

Awesome! Think I’ll take everyone’s advice and run it stock with pro ballast this summer. Not sure if I mentioned it but this will the first boat I’ve ever owned. I’m excited. Just getting acclimated to the lake life! It didn’t take long too find out a boat is better than two jet skis! Lol

Quick tip - DO NOT START THE BOAT when you pull her out of the water - like I'm sure you do with your jetskis.
Never start the boat dry, unless you use a fake-a-lake or connect a hose directly to run water through her when you start outside of the water.
