Looking to transport G21 from NC=>NY this Spring

First off my apologies if this should go in another discussion area - thought it might be ok in here
    Hi Guys~
Moving back up to the Northeast from the LKN area this Spring (I know - might be the first and only person to ever do this). Have a 2017 Ford Raptor SuperCrew but REALLY not in the mood to tow the G21 up there (did this 2 summers ago for Summer vacation up & back and it was a PITA... don't care what anyone says - the new Raptor is NOT a good tow vehicle, period).
Wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations on great tow services (or know a guy who does this type of thing). I'm very flexible on timing and most importantly just want someone who is insured, safe, and reputable (and a decent price won't hurt).
Move would be from Davidson, NC to Saratoga Springs, NY. Pretty much anytime in April / May would be ok.
    Thanks!

I would be interested in the feedback on this post as well. I may have this same need to another part of the country with my G23. I currently don't own a trailer and have no intention of purchasing one.

I used uship.com to have an SN towed from Buxton Marine (TX) to WI. Cost me $660 (used name your price tool), and went great. One key was I was wasn't in a rush, so I had more options and better pricing.

Wow that was a great price. During transport was it your trailer with the SN , third party trailer or shipped on a marine flat bed transport carrier?

They towed it on my trailer. Since I was in no rush, I held out until I found a company looking for a back haul. FWIW, the company was Midwest Express (one of many by that name I'm sure). I also looked at their reviews, and saw they were fully insured. I had purchased the boat, as I got a killer deal, before thinking about how I'd get it home.

Ever head the story about a transporter showing up with a Jeep Wranger he was being paid to deliver and was going to piggyback the transport of a G23 with it.

Understand your risks with companies like Uship. They specifically say they are a "sales" company/broker so in effect you are in contract with the carrier directly at your own risk unless you buy their insurance.

After a bunch of research I went directly to a DOT shipper and eliminated the brokerage charge. I found Glide Transport who is fully DOT licensed and insured. Awesome and fair service. Shipped 2 different boats (Boston Whaler Wisconsin to Florida and Nautique 230 from Ozarks to Florida) over $1,200 miles each time. I also got proof of insurance directly from his carrier. Glide - Michael Tello 312-965-1505. While on the phone, ask him about the risks of non-DOT licensed shippers.

Also do a search of this forum for other discussions.

                  Good luck.

I will keep my ears open for you. The companies that bring the new boats up to this area might be a good option. Your dealer in this area (Adirondack Marine) might have a connection for a good trucking company. You might want to call them, and talk with Drew. Not sure if you worked with them in the past, but if not, you are in for a treat. Adirondack Marine is an awesome dealer to work with! Welcome back to the area!

Second vote for UShip. Now, full disclosure, but I just shipped a tower from Texas to Michigan (1300 miles) and it was fairly cheap IMO at $160 and took me all of 10 minutes from start to finish. I know obviously a boat is a whole different ballgame but the process was easy.

I've used A1 Auto Transport to ship mine a few times without issue. Can't say my trip was ever as long as yours, but I know they ship pretty much everywhere in the U.S. Been a couple years since I last used them, but there were among the more affordable options at the time.
