Upgrade to MP3 Compatiable CD Player

I have a 2001 SAN with the standard factory clarion cd player. I want to upgrade to a cd player that is MP3 compatible (Plug MP3/Ipod directly into unit rather than use FM mod.). I would also like to maintain use of the remote. Any suggestions?

Pioneer makes some nice stuff.
They also have a wired remote that is for marine use.
I'm looking into it as well.

Have you checked out this post. For about $18, you can make a Aux input cable for your receiver if you have a Clarion XMD1. May be something to consider.
