Yay, tower back from powder coat. Looks killer. So, more questions...1) Is there some rubber gasket or something between the deck and the tower legs or does the tower mount right to the deck? 2) Backing plates, marine plywood and glass seems to be common, anything that can be used without glass? Just have the install place deal with it?

Yes, there are rubber or plastic spacers between the deck and foot of the tower. You can order these from nautiqueparts. Drill holes need to be chamfered. Backing plates under the gunnel can be metal or (wood with fiberglass shaped to match the underside of the gunnel.) I think nautique used metal on OEM.

Thanks Glassy, screw it, Action Water is doing the whole thing for me. $600. They will provide gaskets and backing plates. I just need to get some stainless bolts, large washers, nuts, and the tower fold point bolt (pictured aboce) and I'm done. Thanks for all the answers though. This forum is great.
