Finishing the bottom of the swim platform?

Just picked up a new GS20 and I noticed
That the bottom of the swim platform is not finished like the one on the 211 we previously owned had. We sometimes just hang on the platform between rides and I think it’s only a matter of time before I end up with fiberglass slivers in my knee caps.

Would it be worth picking up some resin and just sealing off the bottom?
