G23 vs XStar (2015 thru 2017)

Looking through only inboards and comparing the different brands, I noticed a consistent $10-20k difference between used Gs and XStars (2015s thru 2017s), with the XStar being less expensive.

I always thought these two to be somewhat equal so kinda surprised to see the difference. Aside from the items that are up for debate, are there a couple main reasons for the price difference?

Sorry, did not take note on options and that could be a factor. All looked nice, well maintained, reasonable hours and appeared to be well optioned. I don't follow any of these super closely, but enough to tell none were bare bones.

I have no first hand knowledge but pre-2018 XStars are rumored online to not have a very good surf wake or at least require quite a more work to get a good surf wake than a G.
