    Fuel Efficiency when cruising

Hi All, Brand new to the forum and I have just purchased a Pro Air Nautique 2001 with a PCM Ford - wanting to get some advice on best (economical) cruising speed.

Recently did a 1 hour 35 min cruise at 3500 RPM and used 3/4 tank of premium fuel.

    Thanks in advance.

Look in the PCM Owners Manual under "Propeller Selection" and in the "Specifications" section under "Max Cruising RPM." You want to get the right propeller per the RPM chart and then keep the engine RPM under Max Cruising RPM.

ok thanks, I'll have to source that manual - i have the Air Nautique boat manual but not the PCM Manual - there is some guidelines on max RPM, but not in conjunction with propeller type

Pro Airs are awesome boats, but are brutal on fuel. The 2 we use to ride on would use much more fuel than the plain Air's and Super Airs we had. I can assume its from the Pro Air TWC hull putting drag on the boat.
