Been a proud owner of a 196 for the past 11 years and it’s been a great boat. Now I’m considering stepping up to a 2006 SAN TE. Found one that’s in average shape, and I’m seariously considering buying it but it has 840hours on the ZR6. With this many hours what is a fair value and should I be concerned with the hours?

I’ll be taking it out for a lake test and having a look at it on the trailer then make my decision.
The problem I seem to encounter when I look at boats is that my 196 is spotless and I’m very particular about every aspected it and after two years of searching for a boat the overwhelming majority of what I’ve seen is no where close to the condition of mine. So far, from what I can tell this one needs a good cleaning and some apholstry work but nothing that would stop me from using it this summer.
NADA estimates a good condition 2006 SANTE at $39k in my area but the metadata uses to calculate this value doesn’t take into account engine hours. What would your guesses be for value?

Something is odd here. Are you looking at a 2006 SAN or a 2006 226?
The 226 is not a Super Air Nautique. That model just never had that designation.
For 2006, there is a Nautique 226 and an Air Nautique 226, but no Super Air 226.
The 226 has a good following, and lots of people loved that boat. Hard to find anything bad about it, really.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina.
