95 Super Sport: Ballast Bag Size / Prop Advice

Long time lurker, first time poster...

I am in the midst of doing the Wakemakers ballast install on my 95 Super Sport. Thanks to all for the prior "how to" posts. Those have been great. However I have two questions:

    1) Does anyone have the dimensions for a center locker ballast bag? I did reach out to Wakemakers, but they didn't have dimensions or know what bag would fit. I am looking to put in a +/-500lb bag (more if possible). I am thinking the 60x20x10 would fit without any issue?

    2) Once the ballast is installed I'll be running with about 2,700 pounds, so a new prop is probably necessary. Wakemakers provides two options (ACME 856 or ACME 1578). I am leaning towards the 1578 because of the amount of weight. However, am I considering everything?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Eric

I'm interested as to what suggestions you get. There are some guys on here that have done work on those era boats and you're sure to get some good feedback. Tower install is next week, then subwoofer install and hopefully by summer ballast time.

An ACME 1234 fits the 95 Super Sport. That’s the one you want. I got mine from wakemakers but I don’t think they carry it anymore. It’s diameter makes it problematic for some years of Super Sport/SAN/210 since at some point they shortened the prop shaft. But it’s amazing for wakebording and surfing. You can even still slalom with it but I don’t think anyone buys a Super Sport to slalom. Find it elsewhere if you can’t get it from wakemakers. It’s worth it.

Here are the measurements I took (in inches):
      50l (40 to slant in back) x 24w (20 at ram) x 23.5h - each engine compartment side
      68l x 28w x 12-14h - ski locker
      70l to nose x 64w x 7h - bow under playpen

The fly high w705 is the best sized bag for the ski locker without going custom. The Sumo 675 triangle bag is the best fit under bow. It’s almost perfect.
