For what you guys always talk about faster pumps. Nobody needs them. Get a G above 2016 and you are ready to go in just a few minutes.
Cool touch vinyl, that would have been a great upgrade!
Rear seats. Okay. Some people like it visually... On other brands you see them driving around and who is using it? They are usually empty.

Like you I have a 2017 G and 12 minute fill time seems like an eternity. Yes I would have thought they would have added two pumps per ballast like some of their competition
Hi All, Could you help me understand the difference between the H6 and ZZ6 motors? Is the H6 not 100% water cooled? Sorry i'm not familiar with the motor lineup in the newer nautique years.
Thanks!
It says FRESH WATER cooled, as opposed to RAW WATER cooled. Fresh water cooled means it is using antifreeze like a car, but with a heat exchanger cooled by lake water instead of a radiator like a car.

12 minutes? I need to check that. I thought it was about 8 minutes. There is just enough time to leave the harbor and get the legal minimum distance to the mainland. Until then, the tanks are full. Mostly, the riders are not ready yet =)). Maybe the pumps fill faster when the boat is underway, that's what I'm doing.
I fill too while underway still seems like an eternity . Competitive boats have two pumps per ballast seems like a no-brained upgrade for Nautique to add pumps to reduce fill time to keep up with the Joneses,
Personally, I am not really stoked on the transom seats. You can't legally sit in them in a lot of states while underway, and they messed up the sun pads. Really only adds a place to eat lunch, but the hatches/sun pads already worked great for that. Seems like they would get kind of worn messed up after 1000's of surf rope throws as well. : ) IMO, rear transom seats are a possible fad.
My 2016, late build, has the same pumps the new boats have and same fill/empty times. Did they change the pumps on the mid-year 2016 boats as well, along with the ballast valve system? Didn't know the older ones were slower.

The 16s with faster pumps is still not fast enough. They are still roughly 10 minutes. MC can do more ballast in a third of the time

I repeatedly see the wish (but not the need) for faster pumps. Too bad that Nautique leaves this wish open for so long. I do not need it, but hopefully it will come as an option, so I do not have to pay it on my next boat

We had a 2017 GS20 with transom seats b4 tradi g for an 18G23, loved and miss the transom seats, they were fought over

If you’re at 12mins+ consider replacing your ballast impellers. $30? each, easy 5 min job.
they can definitely wear out at 2yrs of hard use. If you’re sensitive to fill and drain times... replacement yearly may be worth your time/money.

Ran a couple calculations, just for fun.....
A G23 with the MC optional “Fast fill” ballast pump setup would fill/empty in 1 minute and 48 seconds.
A G23 with the MC standard ballast pump setup would fill/empty in 4 minutes and 3 seconds.
