Nautique now has less ballast and longer fill times. If they at least had similar 4,000 lb capacity then I could justify a 10min fill time, but their system is now outdated - nearly same system since 2013.
For me, I often want to drop the boat in, do a 10-15 min surf session right in front of our dock, and put the boat away. Spending 20 min to fill/empty alone is very annoying.

I finally took my new 2019 G23 out to break it in yesterday, and the tanks filled in less than half the time than my 2016 G23 ever filled.

They went to faster pumps in 2016 - did they change the pumps again in 2019? My understanding is 2016-2019 is the same system.

This was my understanding as well

The Nautique link with pics was posted some time ago. Figured why take up storage copying them here when you can see them on Nautiques site.

Hearing that there were changes made to the GS20 and GS22 hulls to "fix" the surf wave. These are somewhat undocumented changes, similar to what occurred last year on the GS24. No info beyond that, but I assume it is to address the double lip that can occur and clean things up.

No clue. Perhaps my 2016 had a kinked hose that was missed, or bad pumps from day-one. Although, I believe they did replace one or two pumps under warranty, but the fill time never changed.

I have noticed on my 2019 (and 2018) G that the pumps run substantially faster when the engine is running at over about 800 - 1,000 RPM. Takes much longer to fill with engine shut off (lower voltage because alternator is not operating). Could this be what you are seeing?

engine running or boat moving? If boat moving it's perhaps forcing water in the intake faster than the pump working alone.

Boat in neutral, increased idle. You can hear the pumps increase speed. So I presume the same or better rate would occur when in gear too at similar RPM.
