    Cell Phone Mount 2015 210

    I have a 2015 210, and I'm looking for experiences with cell phone mounts/solutions.

I'm a little leery of putting it just in the cupholder, and I don't have the latest and greatest dash with the holder next to the helm.

I have considered a regular windshield mount or a suction cup to the dash and use a car/motorcycle holder. Curious if anyone has had any drawbacks to that? I've considered (unlikely) water hitting it, and (more likely) the sun overheating it.

The phone would mostly be used for music control. I suppose I can just put it in the glove box and make a better playlist, but that's a last resort.

    Thanks for the help!

I just ordered the ram mount for this reason. They seem to have the strongest suction cup mounts. I will be trying it out this week hopefully.

I bought a wireless charger from Sam's Club (suction cup mount) and mounted it under the 20% tinted windshield so very little sun gets to it. Great price too.

I also changed out the cig lighter sockets at drivers helm and in glove box over to a double USB socket, they were easy plug and play swaps... and since USB is 3.0, it charges very fast and I can be playing music from my phone and it still charges quite fast. I have android phone, Samsung S8.

I got a cheap phone mount inside the windshield. Has worked great for so many years. Cheap easy solution. It mounts on windshield and sits right next to linc display. Works great.

Thanks folks. Sounds like just a regular cell phone mount works fine.

The ram mount I linked to was awesome. It fit my regular iPhone and my wife’s big iPhone. Held it secure with little shake. I just suctioned to the windshield.

I also installed the usb outlets thanks to this thread.
