Interesting. I posted what I heard (read here somewhere) the changes were and it was removed for violation. Jeff, can point me to the terms of use that were broken? thanks. I am just here like everyone else with no inside affiliation to Nautique in any way. So discussing that is unacceptable?

A couple observations from this whole thing:

      1) From what was posted here by other users, it sounds like (some) dealers found out about 2020 MY changes early this year.
      2) It appears that what was posted was correct - otherwise people wouldn't be so sensitive and nobody would care what was posted.

With all due respect, what negative affect (if any) talking about the next years models has on the dealer and dealerships I don't know exactly. However, I do feel that talking about it here among some excited loyal customers (for the most part) is good for the Nautique boat company, the Nautique community, and certainly this site. Anything else might actually seem as if someone does not necessarily have our best interest in mind. My .02.

From an OEM standpoint, releasing too much information about a 2020 model can cannibalize 2019 model sales. For example, when rumors of a 2020-2021 Ford Excursion circulated among legitimate opinion leaders, many Ford Expedition Max buyers decided to wait and see.

Understandable, I personally would rather look out for others and hopefully have others look out for me if i was in the market to buy a new G series. Id be very frustrating to invest upwards of 200k right now when a significant upgrade could be just a few months away. I understand that Nautique needs to sell as many 2019 boats as they can right now, no offense but I cant imagine that there are so many active users on this forum right now that are in the market for a new G series and ready to make a purchase in the next few months that it would be a serious detriment to Nautique.

Good point. I could have waited for a 2020. I spent hours speaking with and meeting with a few Nautique principals (I'm sure I tested their patience!), as well as talking with dealers and other boat manufacturers before pulling the trigger on my 2019. I even called and spoke with Garmin product/app development people. If the 2020 model ends up being a game-changer, I will still keep my 2019 for awhile (5 years or 1,000 hours), and then get into the next generation. I am not the guy who cares about being the first guy on the block with a new gadget, and the status of that has no influence on me. Quality time and making memories with my G23 is my gig!!!

Yeah....I see both sides of it. In my case....i'm a folding tower user....I fold to go in the garage and out of the garage EVERY time I use the boat. So if I was shopping for a G in 18....and there was a leak that the 19 MIGHT or WILL have a power tower...I probably would have passed on the 18 and waited for a 19 just for the folding tower alone. Now...I can't imagine that the 2020 will surprise us with anything groundbreaking or game-changing...now that the tower power folds....I'm gonna wait anyway for a 2020 G23. By the way....I got the technique down pat to manually put mine up and down....but that Bit#$ is heavy after a long day in the sun with rubber arms.....LOL

Complete hull redesign and game changer coming for the 2020 G . I’m holding out to trade boats once the Nautique/Parker center condole surf boat comes out

I get it! You are in the perfect position to garner whatever benefits come with changes since you are weighing the huge benefit of the power tower. Day-end Rubber Arms are no joke!

A Nautique center console surf boat may have an entirely new meaning... Zodiac-style wave jumping!

I wonder how long for the new 6.6L GM or the 7.3L Ford gas motors to trickle downs to the marine manufactures might take? Seems like Evolution for capability vs efficiency down the road.
                            Cheers!

I wonder if any further EV developments might happen regarding the G? They apparently have the GS line option right now - at least for the GS20.
