another question

another new boat question/issue:

i have noticed there is a “knock” coming from the steering somewhere. i noticed it right away upon initial acceleration.

i can hear it and feel it. it occurs intermittently over waves/bumps. also when the boat has a load on it, steering feels notchy.

rudder has some play in it, not sure if that is normal.




any ideas?

obviously dealer will fix, but if it is something i can take care of before first service, that would be ideal.

Haven't heard of that before. I don't think there should be much if any play in the steering on a new boat though.

Yes....I have a 2015 G21 and I have heard and felt the "knock" you are talking about. Can't really explain what it is....and it doesn't affect performance or really bother me. I think it's in the steering design. I bet some others will chime in saying they have it but barely notice it.
