Brand new G23 left me stranded

As I am typing this I am being pulled back to my dock. I was out for the second time in my brand new G23. I stopped the engine and when I was done and tried to fire back up it wont start. Just turns over but wont fire. I called mybdealer and he walked me through checking fuses and wires and fuel pump etc. Safety tether is plugged in Does anyone have any ideas? I'm in neutral. Batteries are good Turns over beautifully. Never had any issues for the 5 hours I've used it until this

I had these same symptoms on my brand new 2016 G23 with the first production runs of the H6Di engine. I tried the usual suspects. It still wouldn't start. I called my dealer. They came and couldn't start it either. They took the boat and when they found out it was a cam sensor that failed, PCM wanted the engine back to study the failure. My dealer gave me a loaner until it was returned with a new engine. I'm not implying you have a faulty cam sensor. But your dealer should be there for you.

I forgot to mention that I put the boat into neutral from almost full speed and immediately pressed stop to shut down the engine. Could this have caused some sort of airlock. It never started all the way back for am hour while being towed. However shortly after being back at the dock it fired right up and has run fine since.

No. There is nothing wrong with doing that. The problem lies elsewhere.

Sorry for your issue. Been there and it's extremely frustrating. My G died but would not turn over at all. It was a short involving the depth sensor.

In regards to the stunt driving, why did you do that? Sounds like an emergency...

That's what I was nervous about I saw the thread. But, we haven't seen any 2019 shaft failures.

I wouldn't call it stunt driving. I was cruising along and my phone rang so I went to neutral and pressed stop and it coasted to a complete stop.

Well that explains it better. Batman....stop the boat. Cell phone notification says you are needed in Green Leaf Cove. Robin....lets turn the G around!!!

My new 18’ G23 died at 4.2 hr mark, we shut down completely while drifting and it fired back up, hasnt reoccurred since (albeit we only have 17 hrs on it now). After next outing and when with dealer for 20hr service I have it noted for them to check

So dealer sent out their tech. The boat didnt act up at all while he was here of course. But I was super impressed with the service. Sent a guy out first day they could after the holiday in Monday. 2 hour trip. Spent his time going through everything. Makes me feel much more confident in my purchase.

I think I was expecting it too. Good news is the dealer picked it up on Tuesday, dragged it 5 hours back to Dallas, fixed it, and brought it right back to me on Thursday. Service like that, makes it not a big deal at all!

This happened to me in the middle of a gigantic lake and because I’m such an idiot I didn’t bring anything for safety . After about 25 minutes we drifted towards rocks . Finally a jet ski spotted us and towed us in to dock .

Found out ours was a pin in the wiring harness not making contact .
